Thriving Families CA (TFC) Foundation Membership

As we prepare for FY 2026–27, we do so with a strong resolve to elevate the visibility, impact, and capacity of California’s community-based child care infrastructure and the critical role our members play in supporting families, children, workforce participation, and economic stability across the state. Child care is not simply a service — it is essential infrastructure that allows California’s families, businesses, and economy to function.

Moving forward, we believe our greatest strength comes from unity. Families experience these systems as interconnected — and our advocacy and solutions must reflect that reality.

On behalf of the TFC Foundation Board of Directors, we ask you to join us through your membership, your voice, and your participation. The strength of our organization comes from a united membership and a collective voice that reflects the realities, diversity, innovation, and resilience of the communities we serve.

Membership Types

Contractor

Any contractor with the California Department of Education or the Department of Social Services or a subcontractor of either Department is qualified for Membership if there is a direct contractual relationship with the California Department of Education or the Department of Social Services or a subcontractor of either Department for the administration of an alternative payment program or CalWORKs.

Affiliates

Entities providing services and/or products to the contractors that support parents and families that are accessing early care and education programs and services.

Subsidized early care and education businesses including but not limited to fiduciary, payment systems, provider associations, early care and education advocates, governmental entities, foundations, not-for-profit organizations, as well as for profit interests.

Center Members are owners and managers of early care and education centers throughout California
